It creates a slightly isolated feeling where you can’t chat at the bar. And your also dependent on the staff being very attentive… further to this, I got charged 12.5% service without being told or asked if I wanted to.
We found this gem by accident , they do a BBQ on a Sat and Sun and it smelt amazing ! Unfortunately they had stopped serving food , the chef came and said there was some food left over and if would like to have it ! It was a ground beef flat bread and a corn Thai inspired dish, all I can say it wow ! The food and flavours were amazing ! We chatted to all the friendly staff and owner and we will definitely be back , we wish you lots of luck x
Great addition to the old town. Feels comfy in there. Nice friendly staff and good range of beers.
I’m sorry to have to do this because I never like to leave negative feedback, however, I’m an honest reviewer so here we go. I get the impression that the manager here is quite strict and when talking to the staff they seem on edge all the time. I feel bad for them. Some examples. One staff member said ‘i better get these empties or I will get told off’. I also walked through the door and every member of staff turned around and looked at me (on edge). I also predict that the guy with the tattoos and cowboy boots is the manager. He was running the bbq when we came in today. I asked politely what he would recommend for menu and he just said, ‘the menu is there’. Sorry to ruffle the feathers, but a few changes by management would not go a miss here
Had a couple of pints here but it wasn't that welcoming. The guy with the cowboy boots was pretty rude too. That didn't help. £6.75 a pint . BBQ food looked terrible. Could do a better job myself. The other staff were nice though.
