Clara J's Tea Room - Maumee

My first time can’t believe that I missed out on this hidden gem before) was today with a group of 19. I cannot express what an absolute delight it was!!! I would give more than 5 stars, if possible. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food exceptional and the staff superb! Everyone in the group enjoyed themselves tremendously. It is a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Gretchen, the owner, has fine-tuned a tea and luncheon experience with exceptional food and well-chosen and well-trained staff. Thank you for offering such a fantastic service.

Lovely place to have a relaxing lunch. The menu offers unique foods that you won’t find elsewhere. I had Clara J’s Ribbon sandwich and my husband had the crab melt. The meals came with chips, a fabulous salad and fresh fruit. I had the Valentine Tea that was so good that I bought a box in the gift shop to take home. The shop had a nice selection of Harney Sons teas along with other tea and honey items. They also had the nicest selections of desserts, we couldn’t resist so we had one too!

The food was delicious and the service was great. The issue I had was 2 large groups of women were in the same room along with a talented pianist. At times it became difficult to talk to my neighbor.Food: 5/5

Great place for a special occasion! We went in July for my sis' 85th birthday. Our group's ages ranged from 88 to almost 3 years old. The atmosphere and dynamics were demure, elegant and pampering. The service, presentation and food and beverage offerings were very well prepared and pleased everyone in our group of 10. A gifted pianist was playing classic standards; and enthralled the little one. I'd happily recommend this business to others! We are planning more visits!

This is such a wonderful place for a quaint and special lunch! The food and tea were excellent.
