We usually love their salads and I was craving a good Caesar so we decided to get pizza and this. $11 for very little lettuce, and what we did receive was slimy and/or brown. I don't think I'll be craving another Caesar for sometime. Do better Moretti's. Take out should be the same quality as if we were eating in.
I have yet to be disappointed by Moretti's. This McHenry location is right on the river and lots of fun. Good atmosphere for the family as well.
We have been coming to Moretti?s since it was another restaurant. First, it?s close to where we live. I can see the roof of our house from the outdoor seating. That?s convenient. However, we keep coming back for the thin crust, tavern style pizza. Tuesdaysare half price pizza night with the purchase of a drink too. The crust is crispy. Easy to eat sitting at the bar or at a table,as you don?t have to worry about the crust flopping over and spilling it?s toppings all over. We have had dine in and carry outhere. Each time the pizza is hot and fresh tasting. If you come in the warmer months, sit outside to watch the boats and jetskiers. The view is really good at sunset too. We will definitely be back.
I am dinning here at this time. Service is not adequate. I'm easy going and give servers the benefit, especially when busy. But tables are about 50% occupied. Had to remind hostess that we were here. Offered our 1st cocktail for free????. However, service didn't improve. One reorder of drinks was forgotten. I will still leave a 20% tip, only because Service was good in thepast. I hope it's just a bad day.
Fun to dine outside here...great atmosphere with being right on the river, fun music but not too loud. Our server was friendly and attentive. Cheese curds were really good, as was the house sangria (but way overpriced). Chopped salads were a littlelacking and boring. I ordered blackened chicken on mine but got grilled instead. NOT the server 's fault she wrote it down asblackened and even offered to take it back for me when she saw what I was served. Pricey place to dine for casual food. Theone thing that really irked us was when we got the bill and saw at the bottom that there was a 3% surcharge. We were wonderingwhat that was about and then we saw the fine print at the bottom of the bill saying a 3% surcharge is added to all checks tooffset increases in supply and packaging costs. It said you could ask the server to have this charge removed for dine in. You 'dbetter believe we weren 't going to pay this extra charge! Sneaky way of upping the bill. I wonder how many patrons really lookat their bill before paying?!
