Cafe Kinetic - Melbourne

Impressive cafe. I don't know why I've never heard of it before. It has a fairly basic layout but what the fit out lacks in style the food and service has in spades.It was a cold day and I fancied a warm meal. Basically I had chicken and vegetables. I forget the name of the chicken but it came with a reddish sauce and was very nice and moist. There was a wonderful selection of vegetables on offer too. I loaded up a fairly sizable plate of food and was very impressed with the price. All of the food was extremely tasty indeed. I finished with a coffee which was lovely too. This is a very impressive business model. The plum hums and I'm not surprised. They're serving very good tasty food here at reasonable prices. No wonder it's popular.I'm intent on returning for breakfast very soon.

We liked it so much we ate breakfast there twice. It is an easy walk from where we stayed. The local business people crowded the "to go" area, but we wanted a bigger breakfast and there was room in the back. There was plenty of food and everything tasted fresh. Good coffee and friendly service.

On a brief holiday in Melbourne we were struggling to find somewhere with simple, homemade, wholesome and yummy food for breakfast. What attracted us to walk in was the beautiful food display cabinet, everything was fresh. We went twice and the quality was consistent! On our first visit we arrived around 8am and it was relatively quiet. But after enjoying many drinks that night we arrived around 10am for breaky the next day. Busy but the service did not suffer.Thank you, we will be visiting again.

Friendly staff, good food, good coffee, nice décor. Obviously popular with the local business people. Close to our hotel - Adina Apartments on Flinders Street.

Skip the avocado and egg that seems to be the feature photo from someone.. that's a limp sampler. Go for kinetic with bacon, black pudding and sausage. The place is busy because it's great. No nonsense service. Great manager. Full flavour and fast even at rush hour.
