I love their vermicelli with grilled pork, seafood fried rice noodles and clay pot rice. It’s the best of both worlds, Chinese and Vietnamese food under one roof. The shakes are delicious too. The price use to be very good but have been creeping up steadily the last couple of years so getting less competitive.
Hao Phong is our preferred Deliveroo option when we want Vietnamese. Their pho is excellent but we really like the beef sesame noodles too. They get a million points for consistency. We order from them once or twice a week and the food that arrives is always indistinguishable from our previous order. Ingredients are fresh and the food is always delicious.
Went there on a weekend for lunch. It was packed! The atmosphere reminded me of home. It was really cosy, packed, full of people enjoying the food. This place is known for their pho and grilled pork chop broken rice.<br/ <br/ I had the grilled pork chop with broken rice and bbq pork with egg noodle. Both of them were soooooo good!! I'm bold enough to say it's the best viet restaurant in melbourne. Super authentic.<br/ <br/ The portion is big and it's relatively cheap!! This is a must-go place when in Melbourne guys.
Hao Phong is easily my go to for Vietnamese food when in Footscray. Their broken rice with pork chops (com tam) is the best I’ve had in Melbourne. The pork is full of flavour and so juicy. Highly recommended! Their other dishes are also delicious I’ve never had a dish I didn’t love.
Hands down, this restaurant makes the best Grilled pork on rice (Com Tam) in the western suburbs. The meat is so tender, juicy and flavoursome! Not an inch of dryness. They do it super well here, I’m impressed. I didn’t realize how bad other restaurants made this dish until I ate it here. Now I won’t go to another restaurant for it. <br/ They also give you two Pork pieces instead of one! <br/ <br/ I also ordered crispy chicken on tomato rich which was average and salt and peppered tofu which was way too heavily battered. The Com Tam has earned the 4 stars though.
