Kagurazaka Japanese Restaurant

Yummy! I can't wait to be back and order this eel again. Lovely, warm, welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, highly recommended.

Staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Food was excellent and fairly priced.

There seems to be an influx of Asian food along Toorak Road and Japanese is no exception. This restaurant is one I have been to a few times now. It's consistent in its fare but nothing fantastic. I mainly come here for two reasons; 1) Service the service is friendly and attentive and food comes out usually within 10min of ordering 2) Price This would be one of the better value Japanese restaurants in this locality. The food itself is good, it's not fantastic but It's good enough to enjoy a night out with friends and combined with Sake, it makes for a fun night. Essentially you are getting what you pay for. The fish is always very fresh though. My go to dish is the Number 22 (Moriawase sushi sashimi). This is fresh and well presented. The dish I had last night in addition was the Number 26 (California Maki) this was delicious! Have a read of the Menu that I have uploaded. SUMMARY A good local Japanese restaurant. Good to go with friends for a well priced meal and good service. Traditional Japanese delicious food .Friendly staff and very quick service . You have a choice of sitting at low tables and cushions or normal tables. Low tables not so good for stiff knees. The boned Barra was amazing . If looking for a non expensive meal well worth a visit for dinner.

Good location and the Japanese style tables are really fun. But if you are fussy about your Japanese food, you will possibly be disappointed, depending on what you order. The edamame was slightly overcooked and not salty enough, for example. Gyoza and sushi was decent though. You get whatyou pay for though the food was cheap compared to much better Japanese restaurants.
