Blue Plate Cafe - Memphis

I so enjoyed the entire experience from the colorful exterior, uniquely decorated interior, friendly staff, and wonderful meat and three vegetable plate. The food came out in minutes and was fresh and hot. The sweet tea was some of the best I have had in a very long time. Our entire order was brought to the table correct and with a basket of biscuits and cornbread. This was my first visit, but will definitely be going back when I go to Memphis.

Breakfast is really good, great variety and food is always fresh and tasty. Tried the Eggs Benedict, fried eggs over easy with biscuits and gravy and mexican roll-ups. The Eggs Benedict were a bit overcooked, but the hollandaise sauce made up for it. Unfortunately the service was awful, toast arrived after we had finished our meals, server never checked on us or asked us if we needed anything, ended up getting our own check. Pity that the server reduced what would have been a great experience. I still recommend you try the Blue Plate Cafe, the food is good and worth taking a chance on the service.

If you want good food and good service, you've come to the right place. The biscuits are so good, even though we got some complimentary as part of breakfast I ordered my own. I ordered the apple cinnamon pancakes and didn't understand why the apples were served separately from the pancakes, but whatever, they were delicious, my tastebuds didn't care. I was in a starchy mood and my pancakes and sausage biscuits did not disappoint! Ps. The front of the house host, I didn't catch her name, is a ROCK STAR. She answered phones, took to-go orders, managed an ever-growing wait list of people standing and waiting in front of her and also some who left phone numbers and waited in their cars, closed out checks, she did just about everything while keeping a cool head and a smile in her eyes (couldn't see her face behind her mask)! She was a very impressive one-woman show

I love Blue Plate! It's really laid back, with great food, great customer service, and a melting pot of Memphians. Cant get any better than this. I wish it was open later because I love breakfast for dinner sometimes, lol

Food was delicious and service was great! Our server was polite and attentive. Free biscuits and gravy served with every meal.
