Ingredients are fresh and really tasty, empanadas are really unique, and especially the efforts on recipes make the dishes MUCH BETTER as the average pastas or meat meals... You can find in Mendoza, especially at this price!!! ANNUAL RECOMMENDS OF A RESTLAND
We were 6 days in Mendoza, and that was our favorite restaurant. We even came for a second meal. Our server (which I think is also the owner and/or the cook) was fabulous, so beautiful and welcoming, so that the restaurant is a very personal touch.... The food was fantastic. I loved the veggie lasagna. If I ever make it back to Mendoza, I'm sure I'll be back.
We came for lunch and ordered 3 tapas and a salad. The cheese and the rag were still outstanding in Argentina. We did not know that the shrimps in garlic and Prosciutto/Cheese tapas were both served on bread slices. The flavors were... very good, but for one of us was gluten intolerance, that were not good options. Although the taste of the food was good, the shrimp was overcooked. The same applies to chicken on our salad; it was also rubbery. The salad itself had good composition, but it lacked cherries, as outlined on the menu, which made the option point out and appeal to us. The wine was good, and overall the meal was decent. Three tapas, salad, wine bottle... 900pesos.
Are staying in Mendoza a not very long ~6 days . During this time we gave a walk through Mendoza. You recommended this restaurant. You wouldn't have been right. At the first visit I have the Pasta ossobucco and a very tasty beer OTRO MUNDO blanco. My wife has the Fish Milanese sp?? The salad was fresh and delicious. A few days later we decided to try well-known empanadas and I could clarify why they know well. Again the second meal is not disappointed This restaurant is cozy, the seating area is brightly illuminated and the waiter speaks English. MUST
I don't know where to begin. Wow, what a place, and what a meal. I am not one for fancy expensive restaurants, not necessarily b/c of the price tag, but mostly because I feel like all luxury is similar it's very nice but impartial,...impersonal, and boring. I look for amazing local spots with authentic flavors, quirky decor, and at times odd locations. Well, this place did more than deliver. It was simple incredible, and I wish there were more adjectives to describe how positive my experience was. Hands down, best food of my trip (which included Argentina and Chile). The ambiance was fantastic the restaurant is small and quaint, easy to find, located in what looks to be an old house. It looked like the place had maybe 15 tables, so you if you are looking for personalized service, it's definitely here. Speaking of service, Javier is possibly the best server I've ever met. He speaks English flawlessly, and was the perfect combo of chatty yet professional. I also loved the music. It was not touristy or American. It was true local music, and I found myself Shazaming every other song so I could download it when I got back to the states. Being a pescatarian, I was impressed with the fact that they had lots of fish and non meat dishes, so this place would definitely be a great stop for vegetarians. And as far as value, it was one of the best priced places I visited in Mendoza. I was shocked at the bill at the end of the night. And I don't meat to say it's cheap, but definitely one of the best values out there, hands down. One word of advice the resto is CASH ONLY, so make sure you have money with you as they don't take checks or credit cards.
