The Waterfront Grill - Menomonie

We got there before the dinner rush. Even then it took an hour to get our food. Two of our orders were wrong (came out with baked potatoes instead of French fries. Waitress forgot to bring us a drink we requested so one party went without a drink for 20 minutes. Took 15 minutes just to pay at the bar when we were finished

So great food, love the fish fry, but there are differences between staff on food is served not served and how. What I mean by this is that over a month ago I called about 930pm and was told kitchen closes at 10 pm I went there as I live 3 minutes away, ordered 2 things of fish to go, got my order all great. However 2 weeks later called around 932pm to order fish to go and was told that the kitchen closes at 945 pm and it was too late to order fish at all. Then last Friday I called again but at about 920pm and was told they do not do to-go fish orders after 5pm. And then I asked if I could just come and order for done in and was advised again kitchen closes at 945 and that it is now too late. The staff are VERY inconsistent. They should have one set time frame for stuff and CLEARLY indicate such and make sure WLL serving staff/bartenders are aware of the CORRECT times.

Great location! We loved the back deck overlooking the lake! Good nachos and good drinks! Would be helpful for business to add a more signage out front to catch people 's eyes. We almost drove by. The only sign is a metal greatful Dead stlye metal sign against brown stained wood. You can see it if you are standing directly in front of it. Clean bar too! Very friendly staff! We will be back !

Got food to go, Server didn’t seem like she even wanted to speak to us. Our fries are soggy and our cheese curds are burnt, which is kind of crazy because there was only two other customers in the building. Nothing tastes very good and I’m considering just spending the extra money to go get some food that’s actually good and just tossing this.

We just stopped in for a beer and sat on patio. Great view and courteous staff! Would visit again next time I'm in town
