El Patio - Mesilla

This restaurant is truly fantastic and welcoming. It may not be fancy or high-end, but you'll find great deals and meet wonderful people.

I was a little hesitant to try El Patio at first because of some of the reviews I had read. However, it was drag night and my birthday, so I figured it was the perfect time to give it a try.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for locals. It's user-friendly, fun, open, and perfect for relaxing. There are games to play and friends to enjoy your time with.

On September 15, 2023 at 6:30pm, my husband and I entered the bar for a drink and to unwind in Mesilla. However, upon arrival, an older Caucasian man and his friends gave us unwelcoming looks and attitude, making us feel like we didn't belong. Thankfully, some friendly people entering the bar invited us to join their group, but it was disappointing to experience such discrimination based on our skin color. Despite the nice atmosphere, we won't be returning to this bar.

I have tried to visit this restaurant several times, as it claims to be open until 2AM, but it always closes around midnight or even earlier. It's disappointing.
