It’s right next to Popeyes on western Blvd. Should park in gas station next door and walk over due to other cars in the lot for easy convenience. Would try them again in future with maybe some of their other items I guess.
So if you’re coming here, you most probably are aware and have been to Halal Guys’s truck in New York City.I know that’s the way I ended up here— actually movingfrom New York , craving real “halal cart” type food. These guys are still starting up, so you’re going to have to wait a few mins after placing your order— so you better call ahead if you want a quick “grab and go” situation. The food Lamb is very very close to the nyc cart I’m used too— and the flavor I was craving so much. The chicken has a bit more of a BBQ flavor , but still very good. The rice also very good. Finally the “white sauce” — guys, I was really expecting to get disappointed, but — it’s almost IDENTICAL to the real deal stuff I’m used to from the city!I really wanna see them stick around —give them a try and you’ll be happy.
I really wanted to be here leaving a 4 5 star view. First off eating chicken over rice platters as a NYer since the early 2000’s, i was very excited to try this. I drove 20 mins out and ordered a combo over rice with white sauce hot sauce which was 19$! Very pricey but I thought since he’s the only one around here doing this it may be worth it. Once I get my platter there’s white sauce and BBQ on it. Not sure if that’s the default but a BIG no no from me. Didn’t even ask for it. the rice wasn’t so great clumpy and overly soft. The meat pieces are not bad but very big. And the white sauce (the star of every platter) was ok. If I had this in NY it would be terrible but since it’s here it’s just ok.
I would love if halal boyz could come to PA. Some of the best food I've had yet. I'm not a huge fan of lamb, but my husband and I each shared a chicken and lamb plate. OMG. I fell in love with both portions and I was amazed at how the flavors complimented eachother. You guys rock!!!
Food was great. Best lamb ever, my wife and I came all the way from PA and she’s Arab af. She knows good food when she tastes it
