Lovely little restaurant on the edge of Murten. We had the 3 course set lunch, each course was sophisticated and delicious. Wonderful garden and very friendly staff. Smart casual setting with a few groups celebrating a family birthday or just having a nice Sunday lunch

Sunday lunch al fresco in the back garden by the Lake Murten. The available hotel/restaurant parking lots are very welcome when everybody in the region longs for sunbathing on the shores. Excellent menu, lightly prepared dishes of fish, risotto, or potatoes and lamb or other red meats. Light deserts and a good wine selection. The savvy and kind service lady did a great job even with no knowledge of English. We enjoyed every moment, recommend the restaurant (and particularly terrace seating in warm weather) and would consider coming back when in the region maybe also including an overnight stay at the next door Manor.

On a weekend trip I was visiting this very cozy and beautiful restaurant situated in the heart of Switzerland. The fantastic view combined with a great kitchen really made the stop I did there a wonderful afternoon.

Das Châteaubriand de boeuf (CHF 54 pro Person) war eine Enttäuschung. Das Fleisch war trocken und kalt. Die Garstufe (saignant) konnte nicht gewünscht werden. Die beiden Anschnitte waren sogar durchgebraten. Es gab lediglich einen Tellerservice mit 2 Tranchen und wenig Bohnen. Die als „béarnaise“ bezeichnete dunkelbraune Sauce war eigenartig und klebrig. Die Bratkartoffeln-Beilage schmeckte aufgewärmt, sicher nicht frisch und war fettig. Der Küchenchef wollte die Kritik nicht hören. Somit folgt der Kommentar schriftlich.
