Waterfront Cafe - Mid Suffolk

Four of us there for a friend 's birthday breakfast. We were asked to leave as soon as we had finished eating our breakfasts because they was a queue waiting for tables . My husband was in that queue waiting for our second cups of tea. We explained that to the waitress who huffed and walked off. We had been there for less than an hour, we hadn 't hung around unnecessarily. The food was good as always, we go there quite regularly, but after several incidents like this we are looking for somewhere else to meet up. If they ran a booking system it might help the flow. It would also be nice to have menus on the tables rather than have to make up your mind while standing in the queue!

I have been to this restaurant many times before, but recently I have noticed that the portion sizes have decreased significantly. Paying £10 for a breakfast is not cheap, especially when the sausages are small and there is only one tiny tinned tomato. However, what truly compelled me to write this review was the incredibly rude female waitress. She shouted at at least three people for sitting at a table while another family member was ordering. While I understand if this is a rule, it should be clearly communicated with a large sign. Her behavior was unacceptable, and her constant shouting across the cafe to close the door was disruptive. I suggest that management implement a wooden table number system and clearly post rules about sitting at tables before ordering to address this issue with the staff member. Additionally, having the menu at the till causes delays as people have to decide what to order once at the front of the queue. Placing the menu on the door or closer to the front of the queue would help alleviate this problem. Unfortunately, we will not be returning due to the rude staff and lack of value for the money spent.

Was recommended to try breakfast here from a friend. It was delicious!! The food once ordered didn't take too long but I did forget to put milk in my coffee until the wife pointed out it was on a separate counter. Lovely food and service. There is also a little hut selling plants outside.
