Not sure how to call this place... hidden jewel? Diamond in the rough? Whatever you call it, the sushi here is great. Usually come for lunch and order the sashimi combo. The moose is well seasoned, and the side salad with ginger dressing is also good compared to other sushi restaurants. Where Katana radiates, the quality and portions for her sashimi and nigiri. I did it. Everyone was very polite! Sushi is really good, not much rice! They mix the black and white rice in their sushi and it should be very helpful in digestion. Big sushi and they have daily speculations for nigiri like chu and o-toro. Purple rice gives the rolls a unique look, obviously it is better for you and does not affect the taste. Very recommended!

Not only is this my favorite place for sushi in Virginia; the quality, taste and freshness of Sushi here rivals the best I had in Southern California and Hawaii. This place is a jewel of a joint! The staff was welcoming and attentive, the ambience is cozy and authentic, and I found their prices to be incredibly reasonable for such high quality. Don't miss her Sunomono. It's really about the crowd. I'm so glad to finally find my sushi spot!

Best sushi in Richmond and the staff just makes it that much better. Seriously love them so much! If you live in Richmond you need to come here. Every piece of fish is fresh and you can tell that they care about quality!
