The Blue Boar Inn - Midway

I didn’t stay in the rooms. We came for breakfast. It was incredible. Delicious food with good portions and not an absolute fortune. Highly recommended!

Service was a little slow. No one came to our table for 15 minutes. We were never acknowledged while we sat there. Caught the hostess and explained other customers were seated after us and had drinks etc already. Finally waitstaff showed up, no apology for the wait, just business as usual. The food was fantastic, Halibut and Pork Shank. $10 wine, red or white was great. We would definitely return, but the waitstaff has to step up.

We drove from west haven to try this reaturant and host said they open at 5pm but their website said open and close at 8:30. This resturant needs to update their hours.

We went for Sunday brunch and the found quality and quantity we both very good and priced very fairly. The 3 for service is because not only was the service slow given the few tables that were occupied the wait staff seemed to all be grumpy and wishing they were someplace else.

We had a 5:30 reservation...it felt like our server was rushing us along...wanted to take our order within a couple of minutes of sitting down. Salads out immediately...entrees less than 5 minutes after first course was cleared. Food was great we have dined there many times but this was the first time we felt like they wanted us out of there as quickly as possible.
