Midway Mercantile

We’ve been here several times to celebrate birthdays, like tonight, and tonight was the last time. We drove up from SLC, sat for 30 minutes without a drink order or any contact. We finally flagged someone down, and waited another 10-15 for drinks. 45 minutes in, we finally had drinks and ordered food. Apparently they forgot about us, according to the server. The food was just okay. It felt on par with a chain in terms of execution. Not worth the wait. And then we ordered a slice of pie, for the birthday in the reservation we noted, and they had no idea what was going on. They forgot the pie we ordered so we sat another 15 minutes. The waitress did comp it, but the whole night was sloppy. The cherry on top was the bathrooms under renovation, that have a tarp between the kitchen area in the women’s bathroom, that did not seem to code? It felt grimy. And the men’s bathroom was out of soap, which makes you shiver thinking of the many male servers not washing hands after using the restroom. If you’re used to nice dining, Midway Mercantile is no longer that.

Loved the environment. The food was great as well. However, in my opinion there needed to be some more kid friendly options. Definitely worth the drive up to Midway. Will come back many more times. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp available

I think I’m putting this restaurant in my top 5 dinner spots ever! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. They had a whole room in the back and an outdoor section that I didn’t see, but the place was packed and the food was very fresh. Even the pizza was great which is a hard find outside of the NY/NJ area. Would love to come back.

This is a great and casual spot for fine dining. The coconut bathed mussels and clams was the best appetizer I’ve had in my life. The broth is extremely rich, savory, and delicious. The shrimp and grits is also extremely savory with a wonderful sauce. Wine and service also on point!

I love the place and location. The food was pretty good but expensive for the amount of food you get! Plus the menu is a little different. Take a look at my photo of the menu. Not your traditional items but they do have kids menu items!
