The salted fish, pasta with truffle and artichoke and pear and gorgonzola pizza are terrific. They have a brick oven where they make fresh bread and where they cook the pizzas. Service is good and the prices are reasonable. It's good for work-related lunches or dinners on weekdays and for meals with friends or family throughout the week. It is not recommended if you want to stay and have drinks. The place is usually empty by 10:30 pm, which is ridiculously early by Mexico City standards.
The best starters for me were the calamari and the octopus salami. This place is perfect for a casual dinner with friends or even special occasions. My suggestion for pasta lovers is the gratinated penne with artichoke and truffles. Don't miss out on the chocolate volcano cake for dessert! It was totally worth the wait!
Went back to Bellaria a year and a half after our last visit and it is still perfect Italian food. The setting is quite simple, no frills, but the food and service are excellent and remain as good as can be. The favorite dish is still the Calamari and Octopus Salami, both excellent starters and for our main dish the Rigatoni or Penne Oven Cooked with Artichoke, delicious. To top it off the best Profiteroles I have had, just great! Service was also impeccable. I believe it is a must if you like real Italian fare.
We had a great fish done with salt. Also the burrata and the salads were delicious especially the one made with artichokes and dried fruits.
We wanted to celebrate a birthday and traveled from a long distance because a friend recommended it to me. We called 5 minutes before arriving to the place and the reservation was cancelled and the didn't give us a table. The manager just cancelled it. No notice. It's the first time it has happened to me and I reserved it via open table. Awful experience.
