Monza 237 - Milano

We had our last dinner here during our 2 week trip to Italy and Switzerland. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn fairly close to this restaurant and just walked over from the hotel for dinner. We ordered a pizza and a pasta and they were quite delicious and filling. The pizza was a little too salty, but it was delicious nonetheless. Details: They had an English menu They did not seem to speak of a lot of English but we were able to communicate Being from one of the most expensive places in the US (Silicon Valley, California), we found the prices to be quite attractive Service was reasonably fast This restaurant is not for fine dining; more of a casual eatery For a Friday night about 10 pm, this place was actually quite packed. Not sure if Italians like to eat late dinners or it was just a Friday phenomenon It stays open quite late (till midnight)

This place opened up recently about 15 metres from my house and I was happy to have a pizzeria so close! Girlfriend and I went a couple of weeks ago to get pizza to take away. Prices are steep in comparision with other places: €6 for a margherita?! Costs €4.50 at a place 20 metres far away. Worst thing pizza dough was not cooked correctly! How can that happen in Italy?! Service was slow. Restaurant looks nice but locals are now complaining about the food, especially the under cooked pizza dough. Walked the extra 20 metres to my old place and the margherita was delicious! (Service was non existent, staff/owner make you feel they are doing you a favour welfome to Italy!
