Carini's Southern Italian - Milwaukee

I was really disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. I decided to try the scamponi dish because it sounded delicious, and while the taste was great, I was taken aback by the fact that the shrimp still had their shells on. I shouldn't have to struggle to eat seafood in a restaurant. The price was also not worth it, especially considering they don't even make their own pasta. Additionally, the dish only came with 4 shrimp.

My husband and I decided to try Carini's Neapolitan-style wood-fired oven pizza. The service was exceptional, possibly the best I've experienced in Milwaukee. The wine list was impressive and well-curated. The octopus, arugula, and lemon salad was outstanding. We also enjoyed the mussels and the classic margherita pizza. The atmosphere was ideal for a date night, bustling yet intimate. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owners and ran into an old friend. We will definitely be returning with the whole family.

Carinis is truly the best restaurant near UWM. The food is of perfect Italian quality and incredibly affordable. I took my girlfriend here on a whim and we were both amazed by the delicious food and cozy atmosphere. The waiters are very kind, and the chef/owner is the friendliest, most authentic Italian man I have ever met. This is easily one of the best pizza and pasta places I have ever visited.

Carini?s is a hidden gem. My husband and I both went to UWM years ago and now I teach at UWM and we just found out about this place! I can?t believe we missed out on this restaurant for so long. This place is cozy, welcoming, friendly?. Everything you would expect from a real Italian restaurant. We ordered drinks, mussels and both got the whole branzino. My husband and I took our 20 yr old niece here for her birthday. The food and the service was outstanding! Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The entire staff was very attentive and genuinely friendly (not fake-nice). The chef even came out to ask us how the dinners were! Prices were very reasonable for both the quality and quantity of food. We left with a small tower of leftovers! I highly recommend this place for any occasion, or none at all. You won?t be
