Hatam - Mission Viejo

What a great experience! First, this place is beautiful. Outside it is inconvenient, but the inside is very tolerable. Very chic interior design, Persian carpet hanging on the wall and many Persian design. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and sitting immediately. The waitress was very nice and came to assure us that food comes and to see if we needed something very often. The restaurant had just opened so it was just us and another table at that time. Waiting was really long as 40 minutes (to my memory, we have there 11:40ish and left around 1, most of it just sat there eating the bread and gheymeh they give you when you come first) I criticize this for the fact that they just opened and I get quality rice and meat needs some time to prepare, but feels like it was a bit faster. The food was delicious! I love Basmati rice (and saffron rice for this matter), so I was very happy that my plate was loaded with it! My friend doesn't like rice so much and didn't like his plate having a bunch of rice. We both got the chicken coobideh that was perfectly seasoned and it was very humid. Not only was it really delicious, it was quite cheap! During lunchtime the chicken is just $9. It is only 1 Skewer than 2 but its so big could it also be 2 Skewers from another Persian place.??

Don?t bother with this place. We wanted to give it a try for the first time on Saturday evening as my 5 year old likes Persian food. We couldn?t get a table despite all the tables being empty, worst the waitress and the owner who was sitting down didn?t bother to greet us and instead called somebody from the kitchen to convey the message. This was the first time my family experienced such a rude attitude, there are a lot of places you can get this food but we thought we give it a try, there is no star rating otherwise that?s what they deserve.

This place is amazing!! Quality service and very generous portions for each entree. The food is cooked to perfection. I have to be honest I wasn?t that hungry when I came but when I saw the food I was overtaken with the overall look and smell of the food. Definitely recommend!! Also the pricing in my opinion is very generous. I saw this restaurant on a delivery app for my neighborhood favorite place and I can definitely see why people love it.

Amazing Persian food as always. Got the house special (ground beef kabob and chicken breast). Rice is great and grilled tomato is delicious. High quality stuff.

It was a pleasure experience eating in Hatam. I wouldn?t say it was the best Persian dish I have ever eaten but it was good enough for me to give it a five star.
