The service was awesome, and the hostess was super funny and chill. The views of the CN tower and Toronto also added to the ambiance and cool rooftop atmosphere For the appetizers: The steak frites were 10/10. AMAZING. It was the most amazing steak tartare I've ever had in my life. It was on a bed of something that tasted like a potato and the textural journey I went to was insane. The presentation was also beautiful and unique. The foie gras PBJ was also 9/10. It was a unique way to serve foie gras and definitely a different flavor profile that one would not expect. Personally, the ratio was a little too much foie gras to bread/jam, but I would 100% order this for someone (and myself) again. The lamb spiducci was flavorful and well cooked, i just wish there were more!! The duck confit tacos and the fried chicken were also good, but nothing special IMO. For the entrees: I personally got the halibut and I didn't think it was worth it for 44$, even though it was very well cooked. I wish there was more flavor and maybe some greens? My family got the bbq ribs and they were amazing: tender, and flavorful. The tomahawk steak was also perfectly cooked and came with several sauces that elevated the flavor of the natural meat. My family said it's probably the best tomahawk steak they had in Toronto, but steak isnt really my thing so I guess you gotta trust them haha.
THIS RESTAURANT NEARLY KILLED ME. I did not want to leave this review however I have not heard anything back from Skyflower despite several calls/ leaving voicemails/ emailing. When ordering I told the waitress that I was allergic to peanuts, she reassured me that nothing I ordered had peanuts in it (spring rolls, steak frites, and the burger) and also told me she would also send a note to the kitchen. When eating the food especially the spring rolls I could feel a little irritated but based on the reassurance I got I stayed to the end of the meal, paid, and left. Within an hour of leaving, I was vomiting and had to rush to the emergency department of Mt Sinai hospital as I was also struggling to breathe. I was rushed to be provided medication to ensure my breathing was not restricted. I spent most of the night in the hospital. Skyflower showed a complete disregard for their diner's health and a level of negligence I have never seen. I am furious that this happened as Skyflower put my life in danger. If you have allergies avoid as if your life depends on it, if you do not have allergies also avoid as they clearly do not care about their diners, and also the food was very average (the rest of the group I was with was not impressed at all).
We had a great time here a few months ago. The food was delicious and atmosphere was great.
3.5 stars! Newly opened for brunch on the weekends with a covered patio rain or shine! It was super empty when we went for 12:30pm and the food next to our table looked very mediocre. We ended up ordering the chicken and hk waffles and the eggs benny made w lobster hollandaise sauce. Surprising the food tasted better than how it looked suggest the benny as its more moist however the server made the mistake of placing his finger in the side potatoes when he delivered it... so we didnt touch the potatoes on the side. The hk egg waffle was very dry and no flavour just crispy. It came w a Sichuan maple syrup which i dipped a little but the sichuan was just not for my tastebud. The chicken was very moist and tender. Overall decent experience!
Everything about this place is amazing. I'm addicted to the lettuce wraps. Can't wait to try the brunch
