The baristas there were very friendly, knowledgeable but more importantly helpful to make sure that my coffee fit what I wanted. The coffee itself was delicious and brewed as it should to extract all of its aromas. I also had a cookie with it and it was good. The place is conveniently located and makes for a great stop in downtown Missoula.
Sum up: Fun and Friendly staff. Lots of space. Great coffee. I love this place! The people who work here are super friendly, talkative, and engaging. The coffee is great! You can choose from a couple different types of roasts which is nice. They also do blended drinks which I love. This place is huge so it'd be good to work at. I stopped here on a road trip and they were having a latte art competition. It was really fun and a great way to engage with the community.
Exactly the kind of place I would like to come and study during the day and enjoy live music in the evenings. I had the cold brew coffee and it did not disappoint me.
Zootown is a great experience. The atmosphere is wonderfully opening and calm. There is a dedicated 'study hall ' downstairs, which I did not explore but sounds great to have a quiet space. I always judge a place on it 's cappuccino, and their almond cap was great. They have french press and aeropress, cold brew and pour over. There is Lake Missoula Tea Company tea available as well. The baristas were helpful and kind. Also, if you come from 7-9 you get a happy hour discount. That was a nice surprise!!
Nice, small variety of coffee roasters from other cities. Spacious upstairs and quiet study space downstairs. Excellent indie/rock playlist. Fair prices, though service was a bit slow on my visit.
