Don't let the decor sway you...its old inside, but so is the food. Home made french fries, chowders and desserts that your grandmother would have made. Worth the wait and the atmosphere.

First off, don't let the décor turn you off, this restaurant has delicious home cooked meals, for any tourist interested in trying our Acadian Fricot (aka: chicken stew with dumplings) This is the place to come try it, its served with a homemade buns and she makes it just right. Her prices are generous, great quiet place to eat as a family. Take Out options is available. Good place to eat if your dining on a budget.

My girlfriend and I wanted to eat before catching a movie and new this was close by. We arrived and they were closed! And it wasn't even 6pm yet! It's been a long time since I've actually eaten there, but I can't say their hours of operation are all that good. Judging from the clientèle, however, I'd say it's probably best left to the seniors.

Their fish chowder is creamy with a hint of peppery spice, and loaded with fish. It comes with a homemade tea biscuit (or roll). Mmmm! If you want ambiance, this is not the place for you. It's more of a cafeteria than restaurant. But you can get the chowder to go. It's plenty hot and doesn't lose it heat in transport.
