Kanpai Izakaya - Moncton

I have lived in the area for 28 years. Restaurants in this location have come and gone. This is the best iteration so far!I had the Yaki Udon and a sashimi salad. both were excellent! I also had two Sapporo 20 oz beers. Total bill was 47.04, not including tip. Service, though very good, was very slow. I will be back.

The lunch special is an excellent deal!! I would recommend it to everyone to try this fantastic restaurant. Great value for the dollar and great service. We will be back very soon. When we finished eating compared to other restaurants we were full but we felt we had eaten very healthy!!!

My previous 2 reviews of this restaurant were very different. While I've always maintained that the food is delicious the service suffered last summer. Needless to say I'm happy to report that my previous 2 visits confirm that the restaurant has it's best servers back again. Easily one of the best places in the Maritimes for food. I prefer it to the Tide and Boar. Atmosphere 10/10, Food 13/10, Service 10/10! Stop reading about it and GO GO GO to Kanpai.

We stumbled upon this sweet spot by chance and we are soooo glad we did! The service was incredible the food was outstanding and their sake selection was stellar! We will definitely go back!!!

We frequently order take-out from Kanpai at work but tonight was our first time eating in. We loved it! We had a show to attend so the waitress mentioned which item on the menu would be quicker for us. I ordered my usual sashimi salad, my husband the udon and we shared some tempura. IMO, this is the best place for sushi, not only for the food, but for the cheerful atmosphere. I especially loved the special touch of mouthwash available in the washrooms with disposable paper cups.
