We had beautiful lazy Saturday lunch on the terrace of don ferrante. eating was exquisite, service fantastic and the weather and outsight excellent. it's not cheap, but they get what they pay. I wouldn't recommend it.
We stop in monopolie with my wife (Honey-Mondreise in puglia region). the restaurant (top roof) is beautiful with an incredible sea view. we asked for a table to dinner and unfortunately they had no table with the prospect we wanted. All...these tabs were apparently booked and there was only a free table (no view). we decided to stay for the apéro and we decided to order a bottle of champagne. then they came back and they finally agreed to give us the table we wanted. we canceled the bottle order and decided to go. the service is as important as the menu and this lack of respect is very disappointing. rejecting a table and then accepting just because we ordered champagne is something I can't accept. it's a shame because I'm sure we'd love the place.
We came here to dinner in the last night of our week of thirst in juli 2019, and also to the birthday of my mannes. it was the most beautiful location, sat on the dach of the hotel, view over the sea. the food was excellent and the service was impeccable. if I could pick up this hotel and move to england, I would do it in a heartbeat! I can't remember exactly what we ate, but from looking back on the photos we had a good choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dresses. there was a huge selection of wein, which from memory, I think we chose a local bottle of rose (not overpriced and was delicious). after dinner we moved to some more comfortable sitting places to finish our drinks. it was just perfect. cannot wait to return a day!
After spending a week of trying lots of restaurants in Monopoli we called in here for lunch one recent Sunday afternoon. The service is excellent except for one very obvious flaw which was not once did the waiter fill our wine glasses. Anyway that's just...a minor thing. The prawn pasta was just exquisite, all washed down with some chilled bubbly on a warm and sunny day. The roof terrace is really beautiful with stunning views out to sea. By far the best meal we had during our week in Monopoli and truthfully not as expensive as we thought. Can't wait to go back.
