Wanting just a quick pasta bake and a cup of coffee, my meal arrived soon enough but the quality was very poor and the pasta was already drying out and hardening I suspect that it had not been freshly cooked and had been on display rather too long. The coffee was fine. The price however was not. Expecting a price of 6 to 8 euros, I was astonished to receive a bill for 22 euros, 4 of which were for service. After some remonstrating with the staff there, the 'service ' charge was removed and I paid the balance of 18. Even that however was a massive over charge. I therefore have not choice but to write up this warning to fellow travellers The restaurant name as posted above the restaurant is Pizzeria Gastronimia but receipts are issued in the name of Panificio Pizzereria. I noticed as well that the receipt does not identify each item purchased, just the IVA and the charge for each item without actually describing the item. I will be referring this on to see if this complies with Italy 's Fiscal Receipt laws. I have found this excellent article, entitled How not to get ripped off eating in Italy , the link to which follows, and I hope can be included on this post by Trip Advisor [hidden link]
Panini's are bad, 2 € for the service is way too expensive as you eat in plastic plates. Definitely a tourist trap.
