Frutti De Mar Grill - Monterey

One of the best...Grilled laughter ever, so crack out side still perfectly inside, very humid, vegetables cooked to perfection too.... all thumbs up!

I was looking for an affordable place to pasta with seafood without and this place hit the place. The seafood was fresh and there was a great choice. I ordered the house white wine, which was crispy and refreshing. We started with the Calamari. For the most important entrees we ordered the creamy crab ravioli and the seafood pasta. Both dishes were very tasteful. I will recommend to anyone looking for a more casual seafood place, that would be one!

Food was good (but more than 3-4 stars). But the staff was extraordinary! I gave inadvertent $50 (two instead of a $50 bill). The guy asked twice if I had to change. Always replied no. In the end he came back to the table and gave me the $50 bills. My hero of the day. Thank you.

I had much higher hopes for this place. The location was good, inside was cozy, staff was friendly. The fish was overgrown and difficult to taste. The Cannoli stuffing was like the sauce. Rate at least the local beer selection, food could use improvement.

From looking at the menu ahead of time, this place appeared to be a bit pricey. However, from the quality of seafood and overall experience, the price is justified. I loved the seafood linguini, and found the halibut special my mom ordered to be perfectly tender.
