Le Bremner is the sister restaurant to Garde MangerBoth restaurants are owned by Chef Chuck Hughes.
We're a pair of friends who love to eat out, and spend most of our holidays going to places we've researched in advance.
Make a reservation otherwise virtually impossible to get a table. Made ours about a month ahead and got a table inside. This place is relatively loud with the music and the crowd. Started with the cocktail of the day - spiced rum with a spicy rim. Pretty extensive wine list but since my party aren't drinkers i had a glass of sangiovese which was very good. Decided to try the mains - roasted sea bream, lobster risotto, fried chicken with dill pickle and clams in white wine and butter. We also had the sourdough bread with homemade butter and warm olives. Everything was good but the risotto was a bit too cheesy for my taste. Best were the clams and sea bream. It's somewhat pricey and you also get charged for the bread. Regardless we had a great evening.
Make a reservation now so you don't miss this place! It's a hidden gem (literally with no sign on the door) with amazing food and a great atmosphere. The menu is interesting and creative. We loved the homemade bread, warm olives, fried chicken with house pickles, nordic shrimp, and steak with local chanterelle mushrooms, Very attentive staff. Fabulous wine list. Reasonably priced. We dine all over the world... wish this place was in our city.
