Open concept kitchen. We had the Cod cakes and Seafood soup. The cod cakes very good and hardy. The soup was terrific. Lots of fish, seafood and the broth was excellent. We would definitely return. PS: My father has a walker and sure enough when staff (owners) saw us arrive, they were so helpful with giving us access to the entrance.
We were town for the Leonard Cohen tribute concert this restaurant was recommended by our B B hostess. We certainly were not disappointed. This family owned restaurant features their recipes from îles de la Madeleine. We started w their seafood soup, a family recipe, which was delicious. I opted for the pot au pot de fruits de mer my dining companion had the seafood lasagna. Both dishes were accompanied by a side salad homemade biscuit. The portions were generous, food was well-prepared delicious. The pricing was also very reasonable. Our dessert consisted of homemade tartelettes aux sucres. Our server, mademoiselle Paincheau, was very attentive, friendly told us interesting stories about their family restaurant. Highly recommend.
This place is a family run place. They specialize in lobster, seal meat, cod cakes and everything ils de madelaines. Live music and great atmosphere.
The 3rd time eating here,.....so good, genuine Iles de la Madelaine ,Quebec cuisine. This time we paid an extra $10 for a live performance by a band,WOW,we are talking Verdun, and you get to really think you are in Les Iles,,,had fun and enjoyed the music,,,the $10. is nothing to pay for the talent of the band,,violinist,,,wow....The owner Ginette and her daughter serve up old family recipies,,,all with smiles ,,,if you like fresh seafood,fish,etc..I think it was very good, also appetizers were tasty and fresh,,,,try it out ,close to downtown .
The sea food comes from the Magdalen Islands (Iles-de-la-Madeleine). Traditional cuisine from Island villages of Quebec. Owner is super nice, ambience is great. Most customers are from the Magdalen Islands. And that says a lot!
