Lakes Resort Mount Gambier

I ordered a scotch fillet, but it had too many ligaments in it. I explained this to the waitress, and as a result, the chef gave us a free dessert. Surprisingly, the strawberry and lime chocolate sphere was the best thing I ate at Lakes Resort!

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The service was outstanding - attentive but not overwhelming. The restaurant boasts stunning views of Mount Gambier and has a fantastic atmosphere. I opted for the steak sandwich for lunch and it was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend trying it.

The hotel has an indoor heated pool and spa, which the kids enjoyed. The only issue was that the area around the pool was very slippery when wet, causing my daughter to fall and hit her head while walking from the pool to the spa. Safety measures should be implemented to prevent accidents like this. The rooms were average and the beds were comfortable. However, the receptionist was not very friendly, which dampened my experience from the beginning. The restaurant was on the pricier side.

I recommend to visit the Lakes Resort once you are staying in Mount Gambier. Nice views on the town, calm home atmosphere. Good choice of food. Good place to have a lunch for families with kids.

The young couple who own it have created truly sumptuous food with the best view of Mount Gambier possible. Coupled with some of the best table service we have ever experienced. Not to be missed!!
