After we hit some grapes, we drove to Long Point Grille Bar at Mount Nebo at the Sumsrville Lake. The wooden cabin-esque building was a nice refuge from the torential downpour. And as soon as we got in, the server greeted us and told us to have a place wherever we want. As usual, I chose a stand near the window (better for photos). The interior is charming, in a way. Many bright wood, and it seems a beautiful deck out for when the weather is beautiful. The menu has some fried appetizers, like Jalapeno Poppers (which is when I discover Heather's love for Jalapeno Poppers). They have sandwiches and salads, as well as a number of different types of pizzas and calzones and the pizzas can be made in Calzones! Heather ordered the Jalapeno-Poppers, and she might have changed the word life. These had not more cream cheese, they had Cheddar cheese and the Jalapeno was cut into pieces instead of a big piece. She let me steal one, and they were pretty tasty. For my duck I ordered a calzone with crispy chickens (I saw this as an option on one of the pizzas) and mushrooms. You can also decide to turn one of their pizzas into a calzone that Heather made with the Greek pizza (here has a Balsamico glaze that you can see on the photo above on this post). I also have a side of Mac cheese, because of course I do. And my calzone was really good. Large, perfectly light crunchy on the outside and hot and fresh inside. Tons of delicious pieces of chickens and mushrooms, and I asked for a side of marinara diving sauce that simply combines everything perfectly. The Mac cheese was a crushed force-chaser. Don't even complain about it.
Great discovery. You know that a place should be good if you find it full of locals. Easy, clean, good service.
Wonderful! Great food and service with a smile! Try it yourself.
