One of the best Szechuan restaurants in town. The spicy bride and basil lamb were amazing. The service was slow as it was New Year's Day, but they were extremely nice and friendly.
We were looking for a kind of dough zone closer to Edmonds when we found this place by searching for a Google search for Szechuan Wontons. Bingo! Forget the lunch specialties; they are for Americanized Chinese food (orange chicken, beef broccoli). Go directly to the back of the main menu for some of the best spicy Wontons Dan noodles. No more to Bellevue! You also have Mapo Tofu!
Get Szechuan to cope with the grey weather. It is one of the few Asian cuisine that is open on a Sunday in the area, and people have written how it is a hidden gem and I fully agree. The fillet tho- so chunky and the best Szechuan sauce I had in Seattle, you have to go with it. The crispy chicken was actually crushed like Panda Express I expected crispy skin, so note that some of the dishes were very westernized. Would be a 4 but extra star for the nice lady probably the owner who seems like an amazing person. Your dumplings are next on the hit list.
Never tried this restaurant before and I'm glad we did. We ordered for NYE and the food was delicious. Pick up at the restaurant was simple. Didn't wait long as they were preparing the last dish when I got there. Chongqing Crispy Chicken was crispy, spicy, and savory. Dan Dan Noodles are delicious. Just make sure you mix well! Mapo Tofu had a perfect amount of numbing factor from the Szechuan peppercorns. Pork with Garlic Sauce was delicious as well. Boiled Fish with Hot Chili was spicy! Loved it! The fish was silky and vegetables absorbed all the broth and chili. Yum! Overall, the food was delicious, though a bit heavier on the salty side. I'll definitely be ordering from here again with a request to go lighter on the salt and msg. My palette was SHOT after this meal, but worth it!
