I was touring Eastern Europe and stopped for a stay at the Westin Grand. This Italian place is across the street in the circle very local. Nice decor, and atmosphere reminds me of being in Italy. Some waiters and waitresses can speak some English mostly Italian though and some German. Wide selection of Italian foods from salads , pastas, . Pizzas, seafood and meat dishes. Pizza is authentic just like what you get outside of Rome. Good Chianti. Reasonable prices great service and friendly staff make it a pleasure. Try them if you are near . I will be back. I gave 5 stars because everything I tasted there was delicious anchovies a bit salty. Very friendly great place to enjoy a nice relaxed meal. I have been there twice already.
Friendly wait staff who speaks english. automatically brought me the english menu. ambience is comfortable and homely. lots of regulars from the neighbourhood. a good variety in their menu to cater to all, from pasta, pizza to grilled and fried stuff. the latte macchiato was decent. the seafood soup had chunks of fresh seafood in an umami tomato broth. perfect for a cold winter's day. the octopus carpaccio looked impressive and tasted delightful. thinly machine sliced with sweet oranges, a dash of balsamico and freshly cracked black pepper. the risotto volterra was a hearty ragout with al dente rice but i added way too much chilli flakes which detracted from my enjoyment of the dish.
Great meal, Yelp came through again! Good service, fairly priced and fresh delicious food. What more could you ask for? I ordered the Tortellini with ham, and my husband ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, and both were tasty and well seasoned with just the right amount of sauce. Bread was served with the meal, along with a bowl of grated Parmesan cheese. Delicious!!
This is a friendly and unassuming place that looked more pizzeria than restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to find a homey and very local place. We were pegged as Americans (too much Gore-Tex? and given English menus right away. I had a veal with mozzarella and roasted potatoes while my buddy got the lasagna. Mine was delicious and what little I could sneak from his plate was equally good. The portions were just right and the price was about normal for the area. We both agreed we should return before we leave.
