Feedback gevenThis was a nice evening for us. We celebrated our 34 anniversary and had a nice dinner. They were short staffed, but tried their best to accommodate all their diners.
Martino 's needs some better management, both in the kitchen and in the dining room. We had a 7:30 reservation. We were seated promptly and drink orders taken shortly thereafter. However, it took 20 minutes to get our salads after placing our order and another 45-50 minutes to get our dinner. The group at the table next to us finally gave up and left after waiting over 2 hours for their main course. The restaurant manager, who I was told was Mrs. Martino, came over and kept making excuses; not enough servers, no help in the kitchen, labor shortages, people not showing up, etc. At no time did she try to mollify us by offering to buy us another round of drinks, provide desert, or make any other accommodation. Even if she had made such an offer, we were not interested in her issues, we just wanted our dinner. When the food finally did show up it was just mediocre. Italian dishes like Chicken Marsala had no pasta option. We were offered 'chef 's vegetables ' and a choice of rice or mashed potatoes. I chose the latter, and I really believe they were instant mashed. While were only visiting briefly, we do come up to Munds Park frequently. The next time we will make the 20 minute drive to Flagstaff for dinner and will not frequent this restaurant again. I wish I could offer a better review as Munds Park really could use a decent restaurant. Martino 's unfortunately is not it.
Atmosphere is wonderful. The bar behind had live music which competed with the live music at Martinos. Calamari was excellent. Salad was good. Entrees took 1 1/2 hours and this is our second visit and we waited that long the first time too. My Ravioli was very good but barely warm. My mom spaghetti was okay. My husband’s linguini with shrimp was okay.
Cv nice experience food was tasty and large portions. Server was pleasant and knowledgeable only thing bad was no a/c! Was very warm. Fans just didn’t do it sorry!! Very happy to see a great restaurant in northern Az.will come back for sure.keep up the good work
The food was quite good overall. My husband enjoyed the meatballs and he is picky about them. The fresh bread was perfect. My salmon was a bit overcooked but had a nice blackened crust and tasty sauce. Ingredients were good quality and I especially enjoyed the micro greens. I wish there were some vegetarian options. The setting was very nice. We live in Flagstaff and enjoyed the short drive. It was a hot day and the patio was perfect in the evening.
