The Discovery Room - Nanaimo

A fantastic dining experience! Our server Daniel offered a warm welcome upon arrival and was very attentive throughout our stay well versed in the menu items and offered much welcomed recommendations. The meal was incredible, beautifully plated and deliciously prepared. The culinary arts students did an amazing job; a truly wonderful fine dining experience. The Discovery room is a hidden gem on the VIU campus, and I would highly recommend attending for your next business lunch or an elegant evening out. You won't be disappointed.

If you want fine dining experience at very reasonable pricing this is your spot. Lunch or dinner. You have to remember that they are students in training. The food was amazing and great prices. Very friendly staff. Small and intimate. They are very open to questions or suggestions of feedback. The food came out quickly and no did not feel rushed at all. They have 1 and 1/2 hours per seating.

This is such a Nanaimo gem would recommend it to anyone that likes good food and service.

Food was amazing!!! Will definitely book again. Everything is very affordable and each plates are a piece of art. Service was very fast. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because we had difficulty hearing our server. To be fair, it is difficult with masks. Highly recommended booking it. Food is outstanding.
