I love deli food, so this was an exciting find. It was my first time in so I tried 3 items; a pastrami sandwich, the banana pudding, and the Tex-Mex lasagna style dish. Maybe I'm so critical because I can't look my cardiologist in the eye when I havemade bad choices, but the sandwich had too many marbled pieces. The rye bread looked better. It also had too many dried outcrumbly pieces. The grilled onion and thin sliced pickle were an interesting add, though not requested. That was my faultthough. When I said I was looking for pastrami, the very pleasant young man at the counter boasted so about the sandwich that Iforgot to read how it's made and what comes on it. My health won't allow me to have it again, which is fine because I didn'tfeel I got $15 worth of sandwich. The banana pudding which was made with homemade Vanilla Wafers and freash Vanilla bean wasdelicious, even though it left an oily coating in my mouth. This experience was new to me. I am from Chicago. There, you tastethe cream but not any oily film. As for the Tex-Mex lasagna style dish, I never found enough flavor. I expected it to bewonderfully flavorful. I now feel a healthier respect for those who must go through life unable to taste flavors.
Picked up a BLT today 10+ dollars. When I got home to eat I opened to realize it had 2 pieces of bacon on the entire sandwich. Bacon was good don?t get me wrong but at that price and that limited number of pieces it should be. I called numberon website to talk to deli mgr only to get VM indicating ?the party you are trying to reach has not set up VM. Tried 3 timeswith sane results. Have to agree with prior post, RPG aka ridiculously priced goods! I won?t be back.
What a bummer. I read the reviews so I noticed that they closed their custard stand at 8:30 pm. I made sure I got there before 8:30 to grab some deli food and some custard and they were still all closed for the night. What time do you actually close theseitems so your customers know what to expect?
I absolutely love this place. The staff is incredibly friendly, I was taken care of quickly. And I was educated about some of the wine choices that I purchased that I wouldn?t have known about very quickly and it was a lot of fun learning about some ofthese wines along the way. Thank you for making me a regular customer. P.s. I?ve worked retail for almost 15 years and it isvery hard to instill the level of customer service that I have experienced every time here. The staff was at that level ofbeing perfect, and the fact that I have had such a phenomenal experience is just an added bonus
