Crown Sceptre Inn - Neath Port Talbot

As a Spanish who has worked in the hospitality industry for many years, I must say that the service at this restaurant was not great. It seemed like no one had a specific role, as everyone was confused about who was responsible for what. Our drink order was taken three times but still had not arrived. The person behind the busy bar was not serving any drinks and there were dirty glasses scattered around. It felt like we had to direct them on what to do. The food and drinks lacked quality and cleanliness, as it seemed like everyone was fending for themselves. Overall, the place is in need of an update as the interior did not look great.

This restaurant has made several mistakes with their service. The cutlery was old and the staff was discouraging. The manager even threatened customers with police involvement. Someone who treats people like this should not be an owner.

I understand that they closed during Covid, but now they have reopened. The sea bass is fabulous and the service is friendly and welcoming.

A bit of a let down. The place was scruffy, the toilets not very clean. The food was fair and the room was cold. Don't think we'll be going back anytime soon.
