We re visited the Blue Winds Tea Room it's now a regular stop when we are in PEI. As before, the setting is lovely a heritage house with a well kept flower garden, not far from New London and Stanley Bridge. The service is friendly, the food and house made beverages are delicious. The place is small, so consider making a reservation if you are planning to go at a busy time of day or week.
We were the only guests on a beautiful sunny Sunday autumn noonhour and were completely charmed by this lovely house and the service we received there. Our sandwiches and salads were exquisitely presented and every morsel absolutely delicious followed by equally delicious desserts. The dining room is beautifully decorated with lots of intersting art works and every inch of this establishment exudes calm and charm. Lunch here was one of the highlights of our week on the island!
An intimate tearoom tucked away off a main road with delicious tea sandwiches, sweets, cold drinks, tea and coffee. The delightful hosts, whom we have come to know, add to the warm and charming ambience.
Plan on reservations, if they take them. We pulled up with a full minivan of seven people, but thought we'd be fine because only one car was in the parking lot. Unfortunately, when we went in, a lady working there told us rather rudely that they had no room for us and we shouldn't bother waiting because the family of five being served-the only customers- had just gotten there. We told them we didn't have to sit together, but she simply dismissed us.
