Johnson's Seafood And Steak

Visiting friends in Alton for a wedding and they highly recommended Johnson's. We all enjoyed the food and were impressed by the portions! I ordered clam strips and fries that were cooked perfectly and I think there were enough strips for a family of 4!. My wife ordered the steak tips that were fork tender and very delicious. We are planning another trip to Alton for some ice fishing and we will be eating at Johnson's again for some great food and excellent service. Oh yeah if it is even possible after you eat all that food you have to leave room for the ice cream you won't be sorry but very full but it's worth it!

So noisy as to be uncomfortable. Especially since booze is being served.

We ordered steak and fry seafood and tested very well. We also plan to go back here to try some other things, too.

Food is delicious. Wait staff is very nice. Be sure not to miss their bakery!! The specialty donuts are delicious

The last couple of times I visited, the cleanliness was terrible. First they tried to seat us at a table that hadn’t been wiped down, then moved us to a booth that had a shrimp on the floor at the edge of the booth (clearly visible). Unfortunately, not a single waiter or waitress stopped to clean it up the entire time we were there. The food was just ok. There was nothing bad, but nothing great either. Just ok. Nothing that makes me want to return.
