Eating at sandra is the bomb! sad it is just takeout and it takes about 20 minutes to prepare the food, but that was worth waiting. I had the salmon with scratched green, yams and rice (the rice was included) I added a small jerk sauce on the side because I love eating to be extra saucy.

I'm not sure if they put their foot in this food or if they blow it with love, but that's by far the best home cooking soul food I ever had. the eating was hot and fresh, and the girl that took our order was friendly and helpful. there are no seats inside, so we peeled the food in the car. I'm so glad we're here on our trip to new haven. if they like seafood or even fresh hot food with a comfort vibe, they get yo themselves to this spot asap. tastes almost exactly like the house where my oma cooked me as a little girl in the south. 10/10

We were here for the first time and really enjoyed eating. the banana pudding cake was scary. the fried chicken was crispy, juicy and tasteful. lemonade was sweet and tart and the mint added a beautiful note. we ate outside because we had a two-hour drive to the house. it was worth the trip.

Listen, I had a bad day, and one of me will feel better eating. So I decided to treat me sandra after I heard in the radio that the people take buses to get her huh. so not only was her eating amazing! the customer service was on point, they are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. the girl that took my order gave me her honest opinion about eating with a smile. I ordered 2 empty, 2 sides and dessert. everything was delicious and tasteful and I will definitely go back. thank you so much that they are my day sandra’s!

Best food in CT. Especially the Mac n cheese, candied yams and chopped bbq pork. They're soul empanadas are so good too. Everything is really good. You won't go wrong with anything you pick from here. Everyone is real nice too. You won't be disappointed with the food or service
