Cafe Abyssinia - New Orleans

I love this place so much, the kitfo is amazing and I tend to get it almost every time I order or go there. I can't recommend this place to enough people. It's always perfect every single time.

I have dined at numerous Ethiopian restaurants and this one is exceptional. The food is delicious and the injera is gluten-free, made in-house with all-teff flour. I particularly enjoyed my yebeg alicha (Lamb Alicha) dish, which came with generous portions of yemesir wot (spicy red lentils) and tikkil gomen (mild carrot and cabbage).

I ordered the vegetable combo. The food was decent - not the greatest or the worst. They provided just the right amount of injera. I personally prefer a different style of injera. The portion size was good for one person. The customer service was excellent.

I absolutely love this restaurant! My go-to is the Veggie Combo, which is always delicious and enough for two meals. Highly recommend!

The food is SO GOOD! And so much of it! They're super kind. If you walk by the place, they have lunch specials from 11am-2pm I believe. Check them out!
