Bruno's Tavern-new Orleans

I expected this place to resemble a proper restaurant rather than just a bar that serves food, but it definitely leans more towards being a bar. The server requested my credit card upfront, even though there were only a handful of customers, which felt more like a bar experience. The drinks were served in flimsy plastic cups, and the food was just low-quality bar fare. The atmosphere had a lingering odor of stale beer. If you’re looking for a bar, this might be acceptable. However, if you’re hoping for a decent dining experience, I wouldn’t recommend it.

If I could give this place zero stars, I certainly would. The appetizer was disgusting, and when we ordered a pitcher of beer, it arrived without any glasses. We waited 20 minutes and I asked three different staff members for help. When I finally approached the bartender, he shouted at me. There was also an arrogant waiter—a tall white guy in a Saints jersey—who completely ignored us. We never received our cups, and despite the cold appetizer, we were still charged for it. The staff was rude, and the service was terrible. I will absolutely not be returning.

What a fun spot! They have excellent Covid safety protocols in place and everything is really clean. I tried an appetizer that was tasty, but I’ll save my 5-star rating for fine dining experiences. The service was fantastic!

After making a reservation and confirming the reservation we showed up to a closed restaurant. They should be removed from Open Table
