We were craving a hearty breakfast of eggs and bacon and had to wait about 35 minutes, but it was definitely worth it. The prices were very reasonable and we received a delicious breakfast in return. I ordered the seafood benedict with a side of boudin sausage and grits, which were excellent. Everything from the savory and cheesy grits to the perfectly poached eggs was great. The boudin sausage was particularly good. My friend enjoyed a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, amazing pancakes, and hash browns. The service was good and we were happy to have stumbled upon this opportunity to dine at this restaurant.
The service at this restaurant was fantastic, and the food was incredibly tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the Creole Breakfast, as well as the Southern breakfast and omelets. You can't go wrong with any of the options here. I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Not a nice time at all. Thought it would be fantastic to justify the wait time but the chips were so greasy you could see it and hung limp, the burger was incredibly poor, my dish had a skin on it and was so peppery all other flavour was lost. Drinks were warm and servers were unfriendly. They also seem to really enjoy making fun of their customers. Can't believe this was on our bucketlist. Never again!
It is such a shame that I have to give this restaurant a bad review, but we had a dismal experience there and it wasn’t even the food. The host was sweet and bubbly, she got us to our table in the exact time she said she would. We were seated in a small room on the second floor, street side and it had that French quarter charm. But… our wait person was absolutely horrible. To start, she was just unfriendly. I get that some restaurants have themed wait staff that are rude or forgetful, I didn’t know Cafe Fleur was like this. To make matters worse, after we ordered our food and drinks, she stood in front of my wife staring at her until she finally exclaimed, “I’m trying to remember what you ordered to drink” A couple of minutes later she showed up with my wife’s drink, but then proceeded to completely forget mine. My food arrived and I asked her where my **** Mary was and she’s just says “oh sh! ” by the time I was done with my meal, she brings my drink. The biggest sin about all of this was the food was delicious and my **** Mary was amazing. We paid and tipped 20% for the back of the house that did their job well. Hopefully our waitress has an attitude adjustment and takes her job a little more seriously.
