Wally's Most Famous Burgers

Obviously Vancouverites liked cheap burgers a few decades ago as this place had a large following. i cant see this place lasting

I took my partner here for lunch. I had raved to him about how much J had loved Wally's Burgers back in the 80s and 90s. Well. It's definitely not Wally's anymore. Wally's was greasy, messy, had frozen fries, truly everything you want in a diner burger. Now, the service takes forever, (although the service was very friendly) the food tastes NOTHING like it used to, and costs three times as much. Will definitely not be back. Very disappointing. If you're gonna make a Wally Burger, make a Wally Burger. And bring back the proper frozen fries.

The food here was flat out terrible. I had the Wally's brunch burger' and my husband had the 'mushroom swiss'. Right off the bat we sent his back. It was absolutely drowned in sauce, the bun was totally soggy and was the ugliest mess I have ever seen. My egg was over cooked and was like a little piece of rubber in my burger. They are loaded with sauce with a handful of raw onions on them. No love and taste terrible. The poutine, fries and onion rings were nothing worth writing about. Do yourself a favour and don't waste you money or health going this place.

The menu looks promising but the food doesn't quite measure up. We were there before noon so it wasn't busy but our order took longer than necessary. The two staff members, friendly enough, were mire interested in their conversation, than in customers. The burger was OK but on the small side; chicken strips a bit more generous but tasteless. The French fries were average. By noon, there was a long lineup and slow moving. Overall, disappointing for a burger and fries place. Not much better and more expensive than McDonald's. We wouldn't bother going back.

There were only two people in front of me, but I was waiting for close to half an hour for my take-out order. They were frustrated as they had been waiting as well, and then when their food came, their order was wrong. My burger was alright, but my milkshake was completely liquid, and the service was not good at all. I think I may have come on an off day.
