Cari Wine Bar and Restaurant - New York

I had made a reservation using OpenTable, but when we arrived, the restaurant was unexpectedly closed.

Went here on a weeknight with another Yelp Eliter from BK for drinksThe bar was rather empty but none the less inviting.

After hosting an event at Ponty Bistro two blocks awayMe and 5 others came here on a Friday night around 11pm to eat.

Off the beaten path, Cari is reminiscent of what third-generation Dominican foodies in New York City would live for.

We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service.
