Host was super friendly and accommodating I booked a table with friends to celebrate a birthday. Bar is surprisingly large and has a super cool atmosphere (love all of the wood and the two separate bars). Was nice that I could actually sit and chat with my friends, but the bar still felt really lively. Drinks were solid. Don't miss this spot!
Fun spacious bar, occasionally with live music and very good food. Two reasons for 4 stars rather than 5: 1) Food is pricey. Yes it's delicious, and yes it's in downtown NYC. So I get it. But still, given it's a fairly casual place, you'll find yourself spending a bit more than you'd normally want to for a casual place to eat. 2) The service is a bit slow and inattentive. I've been there while crowded and also while empty. Both times, I feel like the server barely came over to check on how I was doing if I needed a refill etc. Obviously this is something that will vary from person to person. People like to get their food and be left alone. If you like that, then you'll be happy here. I tend to drink fast and get thirsty quickly so I like having ample opportunity to ask for a refill. But as I said, the food is very good, I like the vibe in here, and I will continue to be a customer here when I'm in the area (I do not live or work downtown so I am not in the vicinity that often). As a bonus, this place has the approval of @nutfreeinNYC
Great music but not really a dance bar they wont allow you to dance you can only sit by the tables and have a drink. I suggest the management that if they want to be a sit down bar the music should be less loud and more ambient music it was also quite unusual that at 6pm after the pride parade after serving cold beer, food and have great loud music we wouldn’t dance.
Solid experience with space, reasonable drinks and a nice staff! My knock was on the music being actually too loud to have conversations easily. At least my first time.
