Rex Hill Vineyards-winery - Newberg

A few moms and I went for the Mother’s Day Brunch. It was nice to get out and have time to ourselves- location/view is beautiful, tasting room/seating area is lovely with the big windows and natural light. Food was tasty but small portioned, and the meal only included a tasting of the sparkling wine (which was delicious and I wish it was a full glass), so a small brunch and a taste of wine cost $75. There was an optional wine pairing available for an additional $25. I was very disappointed by this price and, especially on Mother’s Day, felt taken advantage of. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be returning to, or recommending, Rex Hill.

The flight is more expensive than other wineries but we ordered by the glass and enjoyed the wines and the space. Service was wonderful and we were able to book a table with only an hour's notice

We are here for a tasting.Woman we talked to: (Audible sigh) Who are you here for?Me: We have an appointment for a Rex Hill tasting"Woman: (Louder Sigh and eye roll) Just wait over there2 groups walk in after us with a nice gentleman telling them they need to get checked in and he can help. They never bothered to tell us that.Finally we were sat. Wine was pretty good. Cool building. Kitchen wasn't fully operational as they lost their chef. Our host was so so. After having come from a different tasting, this one was lacking. Virtually no info on the wine, process, soil, location, etc.The rudeness of the first woman really set the group off and gave us all a bad taste.So Rex Hill, if you read this, first impressions matter.

Beautiful tasting room. We were seated right next to fireplace. Our favorite wine of the day was Aloro Pinot Noir.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here today and it was a 10/10 experience. We were blown away by the attention to detail and enthusiasm from the staff. The wine, food, and atmosphere is simply lovely! Thank you for a memorable day, Rex Hill Winery!We will definitely be returning.
