Always very juicy and tender, they came out hot, but they were chewy an lacked favor. The Scalloped potatoes were just OK. My wife order the Beef Wellington, to which she enjoyed. We both had the soup of the day , Creamed Asparagus soup with Shrimp, Very tasty. They used to serve Squaw Bread, not anymore I guess. We had a 8 o'clock reservation, they were only about 5 other tables already eating. We were the last table in the place. I'm not sure if it was the Holiday weekend for the lack of customers , the Hostess said it was, so maybe that was the reason. I was disappointed this time. I feel for the prices they charge it should've been better. Not sure if we will return in the future. It was a Birthday celebration that was stated when making the reservation, we didn't expect a big fanfare, but no mention of it from our server, He was attentive and friendly enough, no complaint about the service. Live and learn.
Deeee-licious sirloin for me and bacon wrapped scallops for my guest. Fresh greens in the salads and the always special mud pie to share for dessert. Austin made the dinner even more special. Only negative: it was a bit pricey.
My wife and I have eaten at Holdren on quite a few occasions over the years. We have always been satisfied with the food, the choices and the service. It is a small room and the noise level can get pretty high at times. I guess there is little you can do about that when people are having a good time. We were there last night and our waitress was Ashley. She was very good
At the end of the meal I realized there were several empty plates being cleared from the table a sure sign that dinner was thoroughly enjoyed. Nonetheless, the four of us were still able to share an incredible piece of Mud Pie for dessert. Holdren's always satisfies our cravings for wonderful cuisine.
Food and service is excellent. However the prices on the menu are not what we were charged. Unfortunately, we did not check the bill until later, we just split it. We paid $82 for 2 sirloins that were $36 each. $40 for Sea Bass that was $38 and $43 for Halibut that was $39. So $16 more than we should have.
