A very nice cosy place to go to and it's near the train station. They have, certainly for the Belgians, Leffe beer! Other beers are great too ; ! Very friendly personnel behind the bar and very helpful. Nice alround music and you don't need to shout to each other to understand what you're saying. I will certainly come back to visit this taverne to try out the food! 5 stars earned for sure! Went back today on friday 31st of August. Ate a hamburger and... It was wonderful! Good price quality balance and more than enough. Got some great explanation about the food and again very friendly staff. I'd give this place a 5+ if I could!

We visited recently for a family meal, and the waitress overheard that it was someone's birthday in our group. Without us even asking, she brought out a dessert with a candle in it! The food was delicious and all homemade. The beers and wines were excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. It's a fantastic pub for dining and/or drinking—definitely my favorite in Newbury!

A very good pub. Good service and some good casks as well. See you around next year.
