The bruschetta is always good and I have tried a few different pasta dishes. I especially enjoyed the lasagna as well as the chicken or veal parmigiana and the occasional pizza. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous.
Too bad they don 't honour their ads seen in the magazine 'Newmarket What 's Happening ' September edition. Our group of five cancelled another restaurant reservation to attend this restaurant and have the advertised special only to find out the ad doesn 't start until Tuesday September 4th. Odd as this was advertised as a Back to School special. No date given in the ad. No apologies or compensation given. With all the competition one would think otherwise. Food was so-so and our service was not what we expected. You would think you would want customers to be happy and return. Sorry Mama Mia. You have just lost 5 customers and probably more.......
I would recommend Mama Mia's had a wonderful meal and the service was exceptional, there was 24 of us and they were great!
Dinner was excellent as always for our family. Ordered a salad and asked for no onions, it came with onions. The bread was brought to the table with no offer of butter. The creme brûlée wasn't very good; dry custard and too much burnt sugar on top. Hubby's mousse cake was delicious. Missed having the usual lady that serves!!
Quaint place in Newmarket. Good food, good service and love their wood oven pizza!
